We are looking for a Director, R&D to lead our engineering transformation and help solidify our position as a modern software platform that accelerates the innovations of tomorrow.
About the role
As the Director, R&D, you will lead our Research and Development organization, driving a fundamental shift in how we work and empower embedded engineering. Your mission is to transition our ways of working to be much more agile and outcome-focused, replacing isolated projects with dedicated, durable product teams. You will champion a collaborative environment, streamlining workflows between Development, Support, Product Management, and Commercial functions so that we can maximize efficiency and rapidly deliver on changing market demands
You will be responsible for:
Redesigning organizational structures to enable durable product teams and facilitate a modern, agile approach.
Modernizing development practices by adopting and driving DevOps, CI/CD, and ensuring measurable delivery health.
Driving modular platform architecture to secure technical sustainability for the future.
Strengthening accountability across the organization for speed, predictability, quality, and lifecycle ownership.
Leading a cultural transformation to ensure the organization becomes outcome-focused rather than output-focused.
Who we are looking for
We believe you have a proven track record of leading in fast-moving markets with a strong customer-first and agile mindset. You are experienced in driving organizational change and are passionate about living as we learn when adopting modern methodologies. You have a natural ability to break down silos, establishing collaborative workflows between engineering, commercial, support, and product management teams. You are comfortable leading through transitions and have a deep understanding of technical sustainability and modular architecture.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
A proven leadership track record in fast-moving environments, demonstrating a customer-first, agile mindset.
Experience in redesigning organizational structures to build and empower durable product teams.
Strong technical leadership experience, specifically in modernizing practices like DevOps, CI/CD, and establishing measurable delivery health.
A highly collaborative approach, with the ability to ensure tight alignment between Development, Support, Product, and Commercial functions.
Full professional proficiency in spoken and written English.
