Are you currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science or similar topics? Do you want to gain practical experience and work with world-leading software and services for embedded development? We are looking for two summer workers to join our office in central Uppsala for 6-8 weeks between June and August of 2026.

About the Role

You will get the opportunity to work on real projects, collaborate with experienced engineers, and contribute your own ideas in an innovative environment. We have a few prioritized projects for the summer, and together we will find the task that best matches your interests and skills:

• Continuous Delivery (proof of concept): Develop an internal CI/CD delivery solution to automate and simplify the distribution of IAR's installers. You will build the solution on existing Jenkins CI Pipelines and explore package managers like APT (Linux) and Chocolatey (Windows).

• Improve IDE unit testing: Improve the reliability of our IDE platform by expanding code coverage with new unit tests in GoogleTest and integrating them into our Jenkins pipelines. The project also involves evaluating modern C++ alternatives to our current testing framework. 

Who we're looking for

As a person, you are curious, take initiative, and have a desire to learn. You are a problem-solver and a team player with good communication skills. Furthermore, we believe that you have:

• Programming and scripting skills, experience with test frameworks, testing and knowledge of Linux.

• Nice-to-haves are experience with C++, package management and Jenkins.
